Our host, BWA Premium Member, Mimi Ngo of MKT Taxation Advisors, will be joined by a fantastic panel, each sharing their remarkable career stories in finance, insights into feminine leadership and tips on succeeding in male dominated sectors. Emcee Lyn Hawkins, National Director of BWA, will pose the questions that provide great insights into the extraordinary journeys of these four exceptional women. There will be an opportunity for open Q&A and quality networking with executives, professionals and business leaders.

About Donna Thornton

Donna’s career in finance and accounting has seen her work for more than two decades in industries such as oil and gas, mining, construction, aged care and disability services. Her most recent experience as the Group Financial Controller for Alkane Resources Ltd enables her to work closely with the operations team as well as with executives on strategic opportunities.

While she is busy watching numbers, Donna is most passionate about building confidence in people, and thrives on watching the development they achieve under her mentorship and guidance.

Donna is a member with Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand, Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia. She is also a board member of Alinea Inc., a not-for-profit organisation providing services in aged care, supported employment and home care support. Outside of work, Donna plays netball and coaches the under 18s team at her local club.

About Isabel De Jesus

Isabel is the Chief Financial Officer at Scott Park Group and has over 20 years’ experience in leadership roles, across private practice, mining, EPC and residential construction.  She is a Fellow Chartered Certified Accountant, a CPA, a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a director of Uniting WA and the Treasurer for a local swim club. She is a wife, a mum of two daughters and is passionate about empowering women and courageous leadership.

About Mimi Ngo

Mimi is a Certified Practicing Accountant and a Chartered Tax Advisor.  With over 20 years’ experience as a GST expert, Mimi has helped clients resolve difficult GST issues in property development, mining and capital raising transactions, and in ATO rulings, objections, audits and assurances reviews.  She is passionate about providing practical, focused advice for her clients on ATO reviews, property transactions, RITC recovery, cross border transactions and mergers and acquisitions.  Mimi is a wife and mum of two who enjoys yoga, reading historic novels and strong supporter of female empowerment.

About Rachel Dalton

Rachel is a Chartered Accountant with over 15 years’ experience. She has worked in tax and business services with a diverse range of clients including small and medium sized businesses, high wealth individuals, large private entities and ASX listed corporates.

She is passionate about mentoring graduates and accountants as well as working on new and challenging projects and finding ways to achieve the best possible outcomes for her clients. She is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand, a Fellow member of The Taxation Institute and holds a Bachelor of Business and Diploma in Financial Services. She enjoys rock climbing and volunteering for the Perth Homeless Support Group.
