Shayne Nealon is the Managing Partner of Peter Berry Consultancy (PBC).
With an early career in the airline industry, Shayne rose through the ranks to hold Senior Executive roles responsible for Customer Service, Cabin Crew, People and Culture, Service and Workplace Improvement and Occupational Health and Safety.
Shayne led initiatives that achieved significant improvements in productivity and efficiency, and contributed to domestic and international forums, aimed at amending legislation and standards to ensure international best practice.
Shayne’s interest in people, culture and organisational performance led her to a subsequent career in people development, leadership, and research. She now spearheads industry best practice in leadership programs, psychometric assessments, capability and competency frameworks, coaching and mentoring C-suite, and research into leadership, people, engagement and performance.
Vast management experience in the airline industry gave Shayne a solid foundation for her current role at PBC where she manages the highly successful management consultancy providing product and service in Australia and globally, and she is a respected thought leader in the industry.
Having consulted to some of Australia’s leading brands on selection, development and change management, Shayne has experience in industries including government, finance, mining, manufacturing tourism, engineering, construction, law, and IT among others.
An ardent advocate for women, Shayne is proud to have led workplace initiatives resulting in improved pay and conditions for women. She also authored one of the first pieces of research into female leadership conducted in Australia, attracting international media recognition. She has co-authored several research papers dealing with high performing CEOs, Australia’s workforce DNA, customer service, emerging leaders and female leadership.
Shayne is a founding member of Global Women Leaders – a vibrant community of women change leaders from around the world, dedicated to leveraging their skills, time, network, innovative thinking and funding to extend the reach and impact of their humanitarian partners. Shayne is on the advisory board for GLWS, an organisation offering evidence-based solutions which focus on employee wellbeing and leadership development.
Awarded the Mt Eliza Executive Education Commonwealth Bank Scholarship for High Potential Women, Shayne completed an Executive Development qualification at the Melbourne Business School. She is also Certified in the Hogan Assessment Suite, Hogan 360 and other diagnostic tools, and is WorkCover accredited in Workplace Consultation, and DuPont Safety Management and Audit.
Shayne has a Certificate and Diploma in Airline Operations and is a Fellow International Customer Service Professional.
