About Sally Pilbeam:
Australian born, three-time World Champion Paratriathlete Sally Pilbeam has had an outstanding cycling career that has seen her achieve phenomenal success. Sally lost her right arm due to cancer in 2002 and has since demonstrated a powerful mindset and impressive performance resulting in her success in modified bike ITU (International Triathlon Union) cycling races. Sally’s phenomenal success as an elite athlete has come from sheer hard work, resilience and determination, along with the support of her husband Matt, her coach, her close family and wide circle of friends. Supermum Sally announced her retirement in July 2020, reflecting on the forced break resulting from the pandemic as an opportunity to step back from the sport, enabling her to spend more time with family and reassess future priorities.
