Join Business Women Australia National Director Lyn Hawkins, together with Lizzie Nelson, Director at Evolution Insurance Services to debunk insurance myths and explore best practices in business risk management.
Insurance brokers provide unquestionable value to businesses, leveraging risk management and industry expertise to deliver security and valuable advice for business owners. Rising expectations of value provide ongoing challenges and opportunities for insurance brokers to refine and evolve underlying value propositions and maintain relevance. Lizzie Nelson will share her insights and experiences gained over 17 years working in insurance, and share her vision for establishing her own firm.
Insurance has not been immune to the wave of disruption with advances in technology, changing client expectations and questionable practices in many areas of the financial sector. It has been a sector that has found it hard to attract women to advisory roles while evidence points to the great value women can bring to the insurance broking sector.
Join this dynamic duo – Lizzie and Lyn – along with members and guests of Business Women Australia and be inspired by the stories that showcase best practices in business management, with tips on how to get the greatest benefits from investing in the right insurance for your business. Both these business leaders are renowned for looking ahead with optimism and will also share their own personal and professional strategies for adapting to the changing landscape we now operate in.

About Lizzie Nelson:
Lizzie Nelson is the founding director of Evolution Insurance Services, located in Queensland. She believes in the butterfly effect. Providing exceptional risk solutions to clients, and watching the benefits of this reverberate throughout the business is something Lizzie considers a great privilege. Combining 17 years of insurance broking experience with her belief in the power of positive strategy for businesses, Lizzie launched the risk advisory service earlier this year after seeing how many businesses were hungry for reassurance, understanding and support from their team of allied professionals. Lizzie is the mother of a wild and free 2.5 year old (HELLO terrible two’s), wife to a profoundly supportive husband, and a proud premium member of Business Women Australia.
