These 2 x HALF DAY sessions have been designed for sole traders and micro business owners to learn how to QUICKLY & EASILY manage your records, invoice professionally and claim expenses.

Whether you have your own system or want to use Australia’s most simple bookkeeping software, this bootcamp will be worth doing FREE OF CHARGE.

DAY ONE: Friday 3rd April

Understanding what’s legally required and the output you need to produce from your bookkeeping is made easy when you understand what you can claim and how to record it correctly. It’s not one size fits all.

By the end of this bootcamp you will:

Have entered many of your invoices and receipts

  • Know how to navigate Solo Accounts software and use it confidently
  • Understand what the ATO expects from you and why you need to keep records.
  • Know what tax-deductible expenses your business can claim.
  • How to categorise your expenses.
  • How to identify how much GST you have been charged and know if the supplier can legally charge you GST.
  • What you can claim when working from home and how to calculate part business and part personal expenses.
  • Understand what reconciling is and how to correct entries.
  • Know which categories and amounts need to go on a BAS.

DAY TWO: Tuesday 7th April

Understand how to analyse the income and expense numbers of your business to help see where you can improve, save money or plan for ups and downs in cash flow to avoid debt. Use the numbers you produce to help run your business, and the tactics to keep your business running, and yourself paid.

By the end of this bootcamp you will:

  • Know how to navigate Solo Accounts software and use it confidently
  • Have setup your own personalised invoice template
  • Know how to create a tax compliant invoice that gets paid on time.
  • Understand how to record income, part payments, bulk payments and cash.
  • Know what reports you need and why
  • How to know when you can pay yourself and your bills
  • How to produce a simple budget and cash flow using your bookkeeping figures
