Online, BWA Q&A: Critical Strategies for Boards in 2022 @ ONLINE

Join this online conversation with Lyn Hawkins, National Director of BWA and Maree Gooch, experienced chairperson and board director, as we delve into the role of boards, their visions, strategic planning and resourcing for sustainability, stakeholder joy and growth.  Every board director and chairperson should join this insightful conversation.

There are new factors driving this age of accountability and purpose. A social license to operate is getting louder as we continue to feel the effects of COVID-19, climate change, supply chain challenges, circular economies and social issues. The decoupling of major geo-political and national partnerships, inflation stress and economic impacts are motivating Boards to be cautious, considering risks and identifying areas of opportunity. In Australia, the RBA is predicting relatively strong GDP growth and WA is well positioned, relying on our resources and services sectors, and the export of iron-ore, gold, liquefied natural gas and agricultural commodities.

Be part of this interactive webinar as Maree provides her insights into how Boards can strategically influence the future of their organisations, managing risks while taking advantage of opportunities. Hear her thoughts on the focus areas they must be across.

Many boards are failing to add strategic value. The pandemic may have strengthened boards’ fiduciary and “safety” roles, however this must not be at the expense of the strategic value they can add.  Hear how to move the board to be of strategic value and ensure future success.

This is an insightful, practical and interactive session designed for experienced and emerging Board members and Chairpersons, and C suite executives, business owners, advisers and managers.  If you are looking to contribute on any Board in an effective and powerful way, this is a great opportunity to tap into the expertise of Maree Gooch who will share her insights as a Business Leader, Adviser, Board Director and Chair.
