Join Business Women Australia members and guests with Leadership expert, Jessica Schubert, at WeWork for an interactive, engaging after-hours event designed for business owners, directors, executives, professional advisers and business leaders.

Hear tips on building a network, standing out from the crowd and how to leverage effective networking strategies online and offline.

In business connecting to the right people and networking is important, both within the internal structures of an organisation as well as in the wider business community. In today’s competitive business world standing out, online and offline, is vital. Learn how to speak up and step up when entering the boardroom or business environments. Hear how a strategy will make your efforts more effective.

Our Facilitator, Jessica Schubert has coached hundreds of business execs who say this about networking:

“I am really good at what I do, but when it comes to managing up and ‘selling myself’, I really lack confidence.”

“I’m quite introverted and find it challenging to start a conversation with a stranger.”

“I know I should network more with key stakeholders but don’t really know how or where to start’”

“I attend networking events regularly but don’t seem to leverage off the new connections I make.”

“I go to networking events, inside and outside of my business, but don’t have a plan on what I want to get out of them.”

“Now that everything is online, I don’t know where and how to network.”

Networking is not about selling. Networking effectively helps you to make new, meaningful connections, build and grow your network and get insights and learn from others. It’s about connecting, sharing, learning and supporting. But it’s also an investment of your time and energy, so you want to have a purpose, plan and outcome.

“Networking is not about just connecting people. It’s about connecting people with people, people with ideas, and people with opportunities.” — Michele Jennae

Hear how to always be networking and ensuring that every business interaction, every meeting and every presentation is a networking opportunity.

In this interactive event, learn how to:

  • Create a networking strategy and chose opportunities that work for you
  • Prepare for networking events, online and offline
  • Position yourself when connecting with people at an event
  • Leverage your networking opportunities and make them work for you

You will have plenty of opportunities to practice your networking skills, connect with amazing women in business, ask questions and share your insights during the event. There will be ample time before and after the facilitated part of the session.

This event is for:

  • Women in business
